Overthrowing the tyranny of low expectations!

The "theme" of low expectations yielding low experiences is hard to shake.   In our heart, we have been praying for God to take this situation and make it His but knowing that our human failings are going to ruin this opportunity.  We have been doubting what God can do for all too long.   Just like Thomas doubting Jesus...we will never learn!
Only God can take an orphan from the middle of no where in Africa and put her on a path towards her dream of becoming more.  There is just no reason for her to be in our life or our family to have such love for her or a need to come and experience this culture and our community!
Hope.
A beautiful package of legal paperwork has been sent to the US Embassy in Kampala, Uganda.  I just wish that this paperwork could speak to the one holding it!  It would speak of the journey from the hands of a brother who now lives in heaven to an attorney in Kampala to an old woman that has no more than a finger print to offer as a signature.  It would say how incredibly wrong the first decision was to assume that this orphan would leave her family she loves and "run away" to a foreign country.  The miles and miles of broken road traveled should show in the wrinkles fixed now on it!  There are so many stories that speak louder than the legal words printed.  If the paper could only talk!
We are told that there will be an answer by next week regarding her visa.  You will know when that happens.  Why?  Because you will hear the screams of joy coming from our home!
Pray.
Believe.
Grace will have all the originals to help her cross through the walls of the Embassy to US soil, once again.  Before the papers leave our hands, they will be prayed over by our family.  We will not let low expectations creep into this sealed package!

"I am the Lord, the God of all mankind.  Is anything too hard for me?"  -Jeremiah 32:27
