This is Grace!
She has a name and now identification to show! This photo was taken yesterday (Monday) as she needed to reapply for her "missing" passport file. Bottom line is that she has her passport! PRAISE GOD!!!
I talked to her today and she was so happy and excited to hear my screaming on the phone! Her thank you's were much deeper. We are so, so happy!!!!
Albert is a busy man! By his own account, he is not technologically advanced. He and Achmed worked on the visa application at the Internet Cafe today for hours. All that hard work resulted in her now having a complete visa application.
We are waiting on the visa interview at the US Embassy. We have some help coming from our Congressman Fred Upton's office. Grace will wait in Kampala for word of the interview. We pray that she can stay in town and not return to Nebbi due to travel difficulties if she was to be back on a certain date.
We are rejoicing in God's parting of this sea! He has been in front of us on this path but as the Footprints In The Sand poem goes, we did not see two sets of prints. Now seeing we were being carried through it all.
If this process was to stop right now, she has identity and hope. We are so grateful for this! SO grateful for those who we will never meet that have helped. Lord willing, we will not stop until she is here for her education!
Thank you for the thoughts and prayers. We appreciate the positive ones! God is good.
