Today is a new day!

 Today is a new day!
Praise God that the phone was clear and her voice was hopeful!  She didn't have that desperation in her words today.   She said that all the children, staff and teachers are traveling to Arua tomorrow for the burial of George.  Yesterday, I understood that she was waiting for the transportation but it is actually only once that they are making the trip north.  Dr. Betty says that this takes 2 hours and they will depart tomorrow.
I wanted Grace to express to the George's family how deeply saddened for them we are.  Our hearts grieve for his death but we know that George is in heaven with his Father and there is only peace for him now.  She said that it is so sad and they are so sorry.  She said for us to please, please pray.  I assured her that we were praying as a community for the children to feel peace.
She said thank you to all of us that are praying.
Today she asked how Emma and Allen are doing.  I thought it was funny because she usually is short on conversation.  I told her that they are so excited to have her here with them!  That they love her and are counting the days to have her here as their sister.  She laughed.  She said thank you and tell them that she loves them.
She also wanted me to wait on the phone so she could find Robert, her younger brother.  She said that he wanted to talk to me.
Once he got on the phone, I realized how strong he sounded.  He is a very polite young man.  He wanted to tell me that he and his Grandma Rebecca want to say thank you for bringing Grace to the USA.  He is "very, very happy" for her coming to live with us.  I thanked him for giving us this support and love.  I told him that we will make sure that Grace has a way of communicating with him and that he is welcome to contact her.  I wanted him to know that this opportunity is going to allow Grace to provide for the family when she returns.  That her coming back strong and healthy to her community as an educated young woman will bless her family.  He agreed.  Praise God for this chance to talk to Robert and hear his support through this.  We are blessed by this young man.
God will raise up strong young men and women from this tragedy.  I feel the strength in their voice and feel blessed through this awful loss.
Yesterday was a blessing for us to have been surrounded by friends and family that feel the loss of George.  Brian and I are so blessed to have this support.  We hung out at the Taffee's and had lots of crying time and laughs.  Words can not express how grateful we are for this support.  God can only repay!

I also texted Joe, our attorney in Kampala.  He says that he heard about the news of George.  He said that he will receive her in Kampala when the time comes and make sure that things go smoothly for her.
Tomorrow evening the passport will be in & he will let us know when that happens.  (We are praying for this to happen!!)
He added that he will call Grace and see how she is doing in the grieving process.
God has given Grace the support of men of faith.  This is so important to us knowing she has Joe, Robert and George who has/had her best interest in their hearts.  Thank God for these men!

Thank you again from our family for the love you have given us in the support to bring Grace to Michigan, to the prayers & thoughts in this recent loss.  We honestly believe that this community of believers is being blessed by this faithful call.
We are blessed by the best seat in the house!
